Course Details

This series of twilight CPD sessions are combined with brief but interesting pre-tasks from a range of sources ensuring leaders are inspired to think a little differently about how best to develop their own leadership style and skills. The course provides an excellent opportunity for those new to senior leadership, as well as those with a few years of experience, to reflect on and develop their leadership knowledge and skills. The sessions are based on up to date research and books on leadership and would be suitable for subject leaders, phase leaders, lead teachers and assistant heads. Delegates will come together with other senior leaders from local schools in a supportive environment, able to reflect on their own experiences and practice. The sessions take place after school, with short pre-listening or pre-viewing tasks. There will be one twilight session each half term of the year.

“I found the Leadership Programme hugely helpful. As someone who is very new to their leadership role within a school, it really made me reflect on the leadership style that most reflects my personal values as well as how I can most effectively use my role to support others in school. It was also great to share experiences with other leaders of different schools.”
