ECTs will be able to observe in a Reception setting in which the subject knowledge and pedagogical approaches covered in the CPD sessions are applied.

What it will include:

• An observation of a whole class phonics lesson
• An observation of a whole class guided reading (facilitated in groups)
• An observation of free choosing (indoors and outdoors), included an adult facilitated group
• An observation of a Maths (a mastery approach) or an English carpet session
• Opportunities for discussion, questions and answers with the Reception teachers and Early Years Lead.

• Fresh ideas around organisation of your provision, including the environment and adults, to best support children with a wide range of needs across the whole curriculum
