English Practice Observation Morning

Course Information

Attendees will be able to observe a range of English lessons across the primary phases, covering a range of domains, including writing lessons, reading lessons, spelling, handwriting and grammar lessons.

These observations will be facilitated by an English subject leader, who will support attendees to reflect on curriculum design, lesson design and implementation. Time will be provided for Q+A in order to discuss aspects of the observations and/or other reflections about curriculum, planning and teaching of the English curriculum.

The course is fullly aligned with the principles of the Writing Framework.  Opportunities to observe a greater number of handwriting lessons across phases can be made available on request.  

Who this course is for

  • Primary teachers, English subject leaders, EYFS leaders and senior leaders. Secondary English subject leaders and secondary teachers of KS3 interested in transition.
