See the Oak primary English curriculum in practice: using the Oak curriculum to enhance your English curriculum design (IN-PERSON OBSERVATION)

Course Information

Attendees will be able to observe a range of English lessons across the primary phases using the free online Oak resources as a starting point.

The observations will cover a range of domains, including writing lessons, spelling, grammar and handwriting lessons. These observations will be facilitated by an English subject leader, who will support attendees to reflect on curriculum design, lesson design and implementation.

Time will be provided to discuss curriculum progression as well as approaches taken to adapting the resources to maximise the benefit in the classroom to ensure continuity with existing school systems. There will be plentiful time for Q+A in order to discuss aspects of the observations and other reflections about curriculum design.
